Get to know Kane, KlaraBelle, Zena, and honorary Mastador Zeus (a.k.a. Rottweiler).
Chieftan Kane
Our primary sire, Chieftan Kane, is a F1 Mastador bred in Wisconson. His mom was a Fawn AKC English Mastiff, and his dad was a large Chocolate AKC Labrador Retriever.
More lab than mastiff in personality, Kane is goofy, loving, cuddly, ball seeking, and playful young man. Currently at 140 lbs, Kane stamps his babies with playful and guardian like personality, and big blocky heads. Kane is primarily black, but certainly has a under coat of a coca-cola color. His offspring can throw the same color of black and dark chocolate as they mature.
KlaraBelle
KlaraBelle is a beautiful Apricot Mastador from our friends at Covenant Farms in Virginia. KlaraBelle is a F2 Mastador and registered with the IDCR and a true 50/50 mix. Her sire is Charlamagne, and her mama is Lorna Doone, both from Bruce’s dogs at Covenant Farms. Her puppies are 3rd Generation mastadors, all registered with IDCR as well.
KlaraBelle is a loving, cuddly, leaning, athletic and playful lady. She traditionally has litters of nine pups with a fairly even split. Her puppies can be anything from tri-colored, apricot, fawn, chocolate or black. She has very colorful litters, but their personalities are all amazing!

Zena Peanut
Zena is stunning and fun multi-colored Mastador bred also at Covenant Farms in Virginia. Her daddy is Charlemagne and her mom is Annabelle both from Covenant Farms.
Zena’s genetic colors show she has cream, tan, chocolate and black in her coat. She has a unique feature where the top of her coat is black and her undercoat is tan and cream. We always remark how soft and thick her coat is, and she loves to be out in the weather, play in water, and frolic on the farm.
She has the perfect balance of mastiff and lab, in that she is fun and water loving, but large and guardian like in her personality. She loves her humans, and maturing beautifully. We expect her first litter in late Fall or early Winter 2021.

Zeus “The Naughty Rottie”
Zeus is obviously not part of our breeding program, but he is part of our family at Chalice Farms. Zeus is 6 years old, and a fan favorite at our farm. His very kind nature is proof that not all Rottweilers are aggressive — this guy wouldn’t hurt a fly. While you couldn’t get past Kane at the front door, this guy would probably hand you the keys.
Zeus is a rock-rolling independent dude, who is famous for keeping all deer, coyote, bunnies and squirrels off the property. Humans can stay, wildlife must go. We love this dude very much, and was the inspiration behind picking our Zena Peanut. In fact, Zena means “belonging to Zeus”, which is also the inspiration for her name.
